The Botanist Gin

Remy Martin/Cointreau Spirits Company paid a visit to the Charleston chapter of the United States Bartender’s guild to host an informative lunch and learn session. Duane Sylvestre, who refers to himself as a Thirsty Revivalist, lead the lecture bringing a Washington, DC flair to the afternoon event featuring The Botanist Gin. This botanical blend of foraged herbs from the Islay Island creates a light flavor, which is rare with gin. It only takes 3 days to make gin but The Botanist Gin’s unique cold filtration process gently refines the spirit.  The Botanist Gin’s bottle is just as striking as its taste; we will be adding it to our growing collection of empty bottles. Jonathan Calo, head Mixologist at Burwell’s Stone Fire Grill, crafted three delicious cocktails to showcase three different products from the Remy Martin portfolio: Cointreau Noir, The Botanist Gin and Remy V. If you haven’t tried these products yet, you’re in for a real treat. Especially the Remy V; it packs the punch of a typical cognac but its clear color and floral aroma makes it more palatable.
